What are "Remote Users"
If you are familiar with our P2/Conversations product then you hopefully have some familiarity with the “Personal URL Automations/Queues” that can be sent from your Botdoc Conversations dashboard, sent from personal devices (via SMS, any messaging platform) or added to your email signature block.
The Remote User function was created originally for the Automotive Sales Industry (but has countless use cases) and is designed to work in conjunction with the Queues feature of our product.
Overview: Remote Users were designed to allow for “outside” individuals to send URL Automations (via short-codes from their mobile phones) to collect documents without needing to have direct access to the Conversations Product.
User = this person has a Botdoc login and access to the P2 conversations dashboard (and P1 dashboard).
Remote User = this person only has access to the URL links and no login permissions to Botdoc dashboards.
Example: An automotive salesperson can initiate a container with a customer using the Queue URL Automation links via their short-code, and the documents can be collected and stored by an Upper Level or Sales Manager who has access to the Botdoc Conversations Dashboard.
Ultimately, in this case, this alleviates the need for the salesperson to collect documents and go through the process of saving, sending, and stewarding a customer's personal documents. The salesperson can initiate but never has to “handle” a customer's personal data because it is encrypted and securely sent directly to the user who needs it; in this case, the sales manager.
