Sending a Queue Automation can be handled in 3 main ways. (Note: Being URL based there is a fair amount of creative usability with this feature; QR codes, etc. But these are the 3 most straightforward ways to get started sending a Queue Automation.):

  1. Sending directly from the “Personal URL Automations” page in your Conversations Dashboard.

  2. Sending a Queue Automation URL via Email, SMS (Any messaging platform, Email Signature block, etc.)

  3. A Remote User sending a Queue Automation URL via Email, or SMS (Any messaging platform, Email Signature block, etc.)

1. Sending directly from your Conversations dashboard's “Personal URL Automations” page.

Sending a Queue Automation directly from your Conversations Dashboard to a customer or individual you need to collect documents from can be handled in a few simple steps.

Open your Botdoc Conversations dashboard and navigate to the “Personal URL Automations” page which can be found on the lower-left side when looking at the Dashboard:

Once you click on the “Personal URL Automations” button you will be redirected to the landing page for that feature:

From here, Sending a queue automation can be handled in a few simple steps:

  1. Select the desired Queue from the “Send as” drop-down.

  2. Select a link type from the “Link type” drop-down. (General Pull or ID Request)

  3. Input the recipient/customer phone number in the “Number” box

  4. Edit/Add desired text in the “Message” box

  5. Preview on the left and send by clicking “Send SMS”

The recipient/customer will receive the SMS message as shown in the preview and be able to click the link to continue/complete the process you have initiated.

2. Sending a Queue Automation URL via Email, or SMS (Any messaging platform, Email Signature block, etc.)

This method is similar to Finding and Sending Your P2 “General Document” Or "ID Request" Link with an added step for a queue. (For additional context: click here and scroll down to the section “WHY/HOW could I use this?”. The attached FAQ is for Personal URL Automations but the Queue Automation URLs can be used similarly.)

Before you can start sending the Queue URL via your chosen means, the first thing that needs to be done is you need to send the link to yourself (to be sent in SMS messages, messaging platforms, programmed into a short code, etc.)

The steps for this are similar to sending to a recipient/customer from your dashboard, only instead of adding a customer phone number to the Number box, you will add your own to receive it yourself.

  1. Select the desired Queue from the “Send as” drop-down.

  2. Select a link type from the “Link type” drop-down. (General Pull or ID Request)

  3. Input the YOUR phone number in the “Number” box

  4. Preview on the left and send by clicking “Send SMS” (Added Note: You can also copy and paste the link directly from the preview text bubble on the left. This way you can add it directly to an email or an email signature block.)

After you have received (or copied/pasted) your URL you will then be able to save it, add it to emails, an email signature block, send it via SMS, or send it via any other messaging platform to initiate Queue automation and start simply and securely receiving documents/information in you Conversations Dashboard.

3. A Remote User sending a Queue Automation URL via Email, or SMS (Any messaging platform, Email Signature block, etc.)

When sending a Queue Automation as a Remote User the initial setup is similar to the setup in section 2 with a couple of crucial differences. Before a “Remote User” can send their automated link via SMS (or any messaging platform, Email Signature block, etc) they need to be sent their link to be saved and sent.

To send your “Remote User” their Queue Automation link you will follow these steps: (Note: You will need to have your intended remote user set up as a Contact in Botdoc Conversations before you can use them as a remote user.)

  1. Select the desired Queue from the “Send as” drop-down.

  2. Select a link type from the “Link type” drop-down. (General Pull or ID Request)

  3. Instead of inputting a mobile number into the “Number field, you will click on the grey “Select Contact” button just below the “Message” box.

  4. After you search for and select your contact to be used as a “Remote User” you will see and have the option to change or remove the contact (If you selected the wrong individual for example).

  5. Preview on the left and send by clicking “Send SMS”.

After your “Remote Users” have received their link via SMS text message they can then move forward in setting their email signature block, creating their own Short Codes, and/or sending them to their customers/recipients via email/SMS/Other Messaging Platforms.
